Terms of Service

GMTOne is a marketplace, not a shop. Sellers list their own watches and set their own prices; buyers make offers; the two of them agree the sale between themselves. We provide the place, the tools and the channel, and we charge sellers a fee to publish.

We never take possession of a watch, never hold the money for one, and never act as a party to the sale. That is not a limitation we are apologising for — it is the model. It also means the parts of a transaction that usually reassure a buyer are the seller’s responsibility, not ours, so please read section 05.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. An account is personal to you; keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them.

Business sellers must register as dealers rather than trade through a private account. If you sell in the course of a business, consumer law places obligations on you toward your buyers, and presenting yourself as a private seller to avoid them is a breach of these terms as well.

An asking price on GMTOne is an invitation to negotiate, not a binding sale price. When you submit an offer you are proposing to buy that watch at that amount, and the seller can accept it, decline it, or ignore it.

An offer is not a payment and does not reserve the watch. Nothing is debited when you send it, and a seller may accept a different offer in the meantime. Acceptance inside GMTOne records that the seller is willing to proceed; the sale itself is then concluded between the two of you, on terms you agree directly.

You may withdraw an offer at any time before the seller accepts it, from your collection dashboard. Offers lapse when a listing is sold, removed or expires. Because the sale is concluded off-platform, an accepted offer that neither side follows through on creates no obligation on us.

You may only list a watch you own or are authorised to sell, and it must be the watch you describe. Photographs must be of that specific watch, not stock images of the model. Reference, year, condition, box and papers and any service or damage history must be accurate.

Our AI tools can draft a listing from a reference number. They are a starting point and they are sometimes wrong: whatever you publish is your statement about your watch, and you are responsible for checking it before it goes live. Where our verification disagrees with the draft, we will not let you publish until you resolve it.

Prohibited: counterfeits, stolen goods, watches you cannot lawfully sell, listings that route buyers off-platform to avoid fees, and duplicate listings of the same watch.

We do:review a dealer’s business before granting a dealer badge, publish listings, provide search and discovery, carry offers and questions between buyer and seller, show an asking price against our own market reference where we hold one, and moderate listings that are reported to us.

We do not: verify the identity of private sellers, authenticate watches, inspect them, take custody of them, hold or transmit the purchase price, guarantee that a watch is as described, insure the transaction, or arrange shipping. There is no escrow service on GMTOne and no protection scheme covering your purchase.

Payment for the watch, its handover, and any inspection or authentication either side wants are arranged directly between buyer and seller. We strongly recommend that a buyer sees the watch, or has it examined by an independent specialist, before parting with money.

Buyers pay us nothing. Sellers pay a one-off fee of €9 to publish a listing, charged at the moment of publication. We take no commission on the sale itself, whatever the watch sells for.

A published listing stays live until you mark it sold, remove it, or it is removed under section 07. There is no recurring charge on a listing and no automatic renewal. Editing a live listing is free; re-listing a watch you previously removed is charged again as a new listing.

Dealers pay €49 per month for a storefront and unlimited listings, billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time from the dealer hub; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and your storefront stays live until then.

Prices include VAT where it applies. If a payment fails, the listing is not published and you are not charged — a failed payment never creates a live listing. If we charge you in error, tell us at contact@gmtone.com and we will refund it.

Because a listing is digital content supplied immediately at your request, a consumer’s statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is exhausted once the listing goes live, and you acknowledge that when you publish. That does not affect your right to a refund where we have charged you incorrectly or failed to supply the service.

We can edit, hide, suspend or remove a listing, and suspend or close an account, where we have reasonable grounds: an inaccurate or prohibited listing, a report we consider credible, suspected fraud, abuse of another user, or a breach of these terms.

We will normally tell you what we have done and why, and you can reply to that decision at contact@gmtone.com. Where we remove a listing you paid to publish for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the listing fee. Where we remove it because the listing broke these terms, we do not.

Anyone can report a listing. Send the link and what you have noticed to contact@gmtone.com; we look at every report and can suspend a listing while we do.

The photographs and text you upload remain yours. You give us a licence to host, resize and display them for the purpose of running the marketplace and promoting listings on it, which ends when you remove the listing, except for copies kept in backups or where we must retain records.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not post someone else’s photographs without permission.

We provide the marketplace with reasonable skill and care, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any listing, price benchmark or AI-generated suggestion is accurate. Our price intelligence is an estimate from market data, not a valuation.

We are liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for the performance of a sale agreed between a buyer and a seller.

Nothing here removes the rights you have as a consumer under Luxembourg or EU law.

We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects you we will give notice on the site before it takes effect, and continuing to use GMTOne afterwards means you accept it.

These terms are governed by Luxembourg law, and the courts of Luxembourg have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country and may bring proceedings there.
